Italian Studies at Emory UniversityThe Italian Studies program is an interdisciplinary program based in the Department of French and Italian with academic links to several other Emory College departments. The program takes pride in the close faculty/student teaching and mentoring relationships fostered. We offer a wide range of excellent study abroad programs in Italy, both during the summer as well as during the Fall and Spring semesters. Judy Raggi Moore is the Program Director and Director of Undergraduate Studies (langjrm@emory.edu). Majors and Minors in Italian: 1. The program offers an interdisciplinary major focusing on the study of Italy from various perspectives: literary, cultural, historical, artistic, philosophical, and political. While successfully completing the required courses in Italian language, cultural studies, and literature, students are encouraged to take courses in other departments taught by faculty members of Italian Studies at Emory.
